If you are planning to get a great dane for a pet, they are a great choice! Research has shown that danes are amazing with children of all ages, they a great with other pets, and they are super easy to train. The one bad thing is that they are not fond of being alone for quite a bit of time. The next thing is their grooming. From my research, I would suggest that they would need some, but easy grooming. One of the few things that this dog needs is that they need to get plenty of exercise. They like to have plenty of space to run and play on. Typically, the lifespan of the great dane is 7-10 years but some have reached up to between 12 and 15 years!
